Founded in 1966, the Good Sam Club is the largest organization of RV owners in the world. It has over 1.5 million members and is owned by Good Sam Enterprises. Its aim is to make RV camping safer, more fun and enjoyable. Members get to enjoy club-endorsed services and benefits. The organization has local clubs that host “Samborees”, or member gatherings. It is affiliated with the Good Sam 200, Good Sam Club 500 NASCAR auto races, RV camping grounds and parks. The Colorado-based club was founded by Art Rouse, also the founder of TL Enterprises, the publishing company behind magazines such as Motorhome, Trailer Life, Highway Herald, Rider and Coast to Coast. Club members get one-year subscription of Highways magazine and call an information hotline 24/7. They also enjoy roadside assistance, insurance for RV and extended warranties.
